I am Rochelle Redgard

During my four year studies majoring in film and production design at the Open Window Institute, I found my love for Production Design. I enjoy spatial design and creating clearly defined concepts. I pride myself in thorough work and attention to detail. 

I read images for story and meaning. I am constantly studying objects, textures, colours and culture to build my own reference library. 

During the last two years, I worked full-time Art Director for a stock film company called Moose Films (PTY) LTD.  Within the stock world, I have had the opportunity to art direct several shoots. I have designed in-house sets and props for commissioning. 

For me, the process of creation is just as important as the final result. By creating something physical that brings a unique moment to life whether it is an event or moving image, I feel like I am doing something that moves people. We have such an interesting yet diverse industry that I would like to explore further.

I find the whole process from research, conceptualising, design and the final execution very exciting. For me, the magic lies in the ability to use artisan skills to create an experience and tell a story.
